I made these two ATC's (artist trading cards) for a swap-bot swap. I finally found some use for some self sticking foamies I bought awhile back. Everybody seems to love Halloween. My next door neighbor is a major fan and decorates in a big way. I crocheted a Halloween snake scarf for her a couple of years ago and have been promising myself one. I have the yarn, I just need to get started.

I just got this in the mail from Amazon.com. It has patterns for the cutest animals. They're all fairly small and include owls, a fox, hedgehogs, a squirrel, a badger and an otter holding a fish, to name a few. I want to make some now, but I'm going out of town for 2 weeks and these will have to wait.
John Murphy: Closet Monsters: Stitch Creatures You'll Love from Clothing You Don't
This book has great creatures made out of discarded clothing. They are very cute but also of a fairly large size. I think they would make a great gift for an older child to keep as a night time companion or sit on their bed for decoration. They'd be a bit big to be dragged about.

Another book from Amazon. I love birds and want to make some into ornaments for my tree this year. Maybe cardinals, red shows up so well amongst the green of the tree.
Nicola Tedman: Zombie Felties: How to Raise 16 Gruesome Felt Creatures from the Undead
I just got this book from Amazon. I first saw it at Barnes & Noble, but didn't want to pay full price. When I saw there was a zombie felty exchange on swap-bot, I decided to get it. I may only ever make one zombie, but it looks like fun.
Nelly Pailloux: Crobots: 20 Amigurumi Robots to Make
Crobots, crobots and more crobots (crocheted robots) and each one cuter than the one before. There are Dog and Cat bots and a black Ninjabot with his own sword and a Zombiebot and even a Cosmic Bear. But the cutest one is the one on the cover - Babybot.

Great book with the cutest little things. I think I'll start with mommy and baby squirrels or three little peas in a pod.

There are many, many inspiring pages of altered fabric crafts. Since they are all made of bits and bobs of offcasts and leftovers and odds and ends, even if you try and copy them exactly, yours will be unique.

More cute stuff from Tone Finnanger. There's frogs and rabbits and cats and birds and bees and dragonflies and one of the cutest stuffed snails I've ever seen.

This has the cutest stuffed animals, dolls, seaside inspired crafts and more. There's a stuffed puffin I can't wait to make. I wish I had more time at home, I would like to make almost everything in here. There's even a cow with wings.

They've collected 21 softie patterns from different designers all over the web and put them in one book. All of them are cute and most of them I want to make. One thing about the book that's a bit misleading is its subtitle 'Lovable Friends for You to Sew, Knit, or Crochet'. I only see one rabbit whose body is knitted and nothing that's crocheted. But that leaves 20 little pets to sew.
Linda Kopp: Quilts, Baby!: 20 Cuddly Designs to Piece, Patch & Embroider
I don't make many baby quilts, but the 20 patterns in this book are so extraordinary - no fussy, cutesy, pastel quilts here - that they are a great jumping off point for other projects. I've already got visions in my head of several lap quilts I can make using these projects as springboards.
Betty Barnden: Very Easy Crazy Patchwork
I've done crazy quilting for years, but I'm always happy to pick up a book with new ideas. This book shows several different methods for creating crazy patches and then has great projects to make with them - a bear, bags and purses, a blanket, an album cover, etc. It includes info on fabric selection and embroidery. It would be a great book for a beginner, but even a seasoned crazy patcher will find new inspiration.

I picked up this book because it has some very cute purse and tote bag ideas, but it has some truly unattractive clothing ideas. All in all there are 50 projects, so you're bound to find something you like.
Lark Books: Pretty Little Pincushions (Pretty Little Series)
This is the latest addition to my library. It's full of the cutest little pincushions but they all seem to be made of wool or felt or felted wool. So I'm going to have to dig deep into my stash to find appropriate fabrics. Or I could just make them out of whatever catches my fancy.

I picked this up at Half Priced Books for $8. There aren't any new patchwork patterns here, but there are some cute projects showing different ways to use individual blocks.
Elisabeth Doherty: Amigurumi!: Super Happy Crochet Cute
This book has some really cute and inspirational amigurumi. I want to make one of the creatures on the cover.
